Today Baby Ben got his first taste of baby food. We introduced him to brown rice cereal. With our other boys we waited until they were 6 months to introduce them to it. But, we decided that Ben was ready at just over 5 months because he has to share his "milky" and because they boys keep trying to feed him what they're eating.
When Ben was about 3 months old, Zach put a tiny piece of popcorn in Ben's mouth. I had to fish it out. Just a couple of weeks ago, Josh shared his fruit juice with Ben. Faith has let Ben such on her Popsicle. There have been several times where we have stopped Josh and Zach from feeding Ben. Who knows what Ben has eaten with out us knowing.
We each took turns feeding him for the "first" time. Unlike our other children who made funny faces when they first tasted baby cereal, Ben couldn't get enough. He opened his mouth wide, like a baby bird, and even grabbed the spoon and our hands to bring them to his mouth faster! We laughed so hard at that. He was definitely ready to eat!

Now he is going to make up for all the slower growing :) He looks very happy. I can't wait to meet him. Soon!
